With enhanced wettability and even coverage on metal surfaces, the material addresses a practical priority in processor cooling: establishing effective contact at the interface between the heat source and the cooling assembly. Its applications include high-performance PCs, gaming systems and workstations.

Recent CPU and GPU platforms put cooling in system context

AMD’s October 5 Helios engineering update discusses mechanical and electrical design, liquid cooling, serviceability and stress testing. It also describes customers validating workloads at their own sites while preparing larger deployments. The update illustrates how cooling is developed and checked within a complete system.

At the desktop end, NVIDIA’s October 7 RTX Spark announcement describes closely coupled Grace CPU and Blackwell RTX GPU compute with shared memory for local AI. Its compact desktops were announced for November availability. The platform is a useful example of mixed CPU/GPU work, rather than evidence that any particular replacement paste is suitable.

Intel’s October 6 production-AI software blueprint describes accelerators handling dense model computation while CPUs support data movement, requests and tool orchestration. Evaluating a mixed system therefore calls for workloads that exercise the relevant processing stages.

For rack-scale engineering, NVIDIA’s September 27 DSX MaxLPS guidance states that cooling and electrical infrastructure must be sized for a validated operating target. Its rack-level findings do not define desktop interface performance, but the validation principle is relevant when planning application-specific thermal tests.

JP-DXSquare Elite enters this discussion at the material interface. Its assessment should use the actual package, contact surfaces, mounting conditions and cooling assembly; these vendor publications do not establish JunPus qualification.

Why the interface matters

A processor’s cooling path depends on more than the size of its heatsink or radiator. Heat must first cross the contact area that connects the processor package to the cooler. Even surfaces that appear smooth can contain microscopic irregularities, leaving small air gaps when brought together. Thermal paste fills these gaps and helps heat move across the interface. [2]

For a CPU with an integrated heat spreader, this layer sits between the heat spreader and the cooler’s contact surface. GPU assemblies can use different package and cooler arrangements, so the interface needs to be considered in the context of the particular hardware design. In either application, material selection and correct assembly belong in the same cooling discussion.

Square nano diamond particles and surface coverage

JP-DXSquare Elite uses square nano-diamond particles as a defining feature of its formulation. JunPus’ product description emphasizes particle contact and packing within the thermal interface, alongside enhanced wettability on metal surfaces. These characteristics bring attention to both the material’s internal structure and its contact with the surrounding components.

Wettability describes how a material contacts and spreads over a surface. For JP-DXSquare Elite, uniform metal-surface coverage is a key part of the product’s thermal interface design. It gives system designers and builders a clear, application-relevant feature to consider when selecting paste for their CPU or GPU cooling assembly.

A focused option for PCs and workstations

Whether planning a gaming desktop or a professional workstation, the thermal interface deserves attention early in the build. Treating it as part of the overall cooling design makes it easier to align material choice with the processor, cooler, installation method and expected workload. JP-DXSquare Elite offers a nano-diamond option for those CPU and GPU applications.

During application validation, follow the hardware and material instructions, confirm surface suitability and coverage, and check the assembled system under its intended workload. Paste quantity, mounting pressure, cooler design and operating conditions all influence the result. This system-level check helps connect material selection with the needs of the finished build.
